Steven Feuerstein is considered one of the world's leading experts on the Oracle PL/SQL language, having written nine books on PL/SQL (all from O'Reilly & Associates), including Oracle PL/SQL Programming and Oracle PL/SQL Best Practices. He has received various awards over the years for his work on PL/SQL, including Oracle Magazine PL/SQL Developer of the Year in 2003 and 2006. Steven is the only ODTUG presenter to win three awards—the 2005 Best Presentation, the 2005 Editor’s Choice Award, and the 2002 Best Presentation Award. He has taught thousands of the PL/SQL developers and DBAs in seminars throughout U.S., Europe, Australia, and Latin America.

Andrew Clarke, Logica

Andrew has worked as a consultant for Logica since 1995.   Andrew is an experienced Oracle generalist, with expertise in database application design, development and administration.   He has designed and built databases for client server and web applications, and has also worked on data warehouses.  In addition he has experience of business and systems analysis, technical architecture and report writing.  He first worked with PL/SQL in 1992 (in a Forms applications) and has used it ever since.

Andrew is a proficient presenter and has presented many times at the UK Oracle User Group annual conference.  He has also presented at Oracle Open World in San Francisco, in 2003, 2007 and 2009.  Additionally he chaired the UKOUG Development SIG between 2002 and 2009.  Andrew is an Oracle ACE and was awarded Oracle Magazine’s OTN Contributor of the Year in 2003.

Marco Gralike, AMIS

Marco Gralike is a principal Oracle Database consultant in the Netherlands for AMIS Services BV. He has been a DBA since 1994 (Oracle 6). Marco is also eager and skillful in other fields, like Operating System Administration and Application Servers, mainly to find working, performing solutions. Marco has been specializing in Oracle XML DB since 2003, focusing on his old love, database administration and performance. He has been an Oracle XML DB enthusiast ever since. He is also a dedicated contributor of the Oracle User Group community, helping people with their steep XML DB learning curve. To this purpose, Marco also devoted his personal blog site to XML DB and other Oracle issues. Marco is an Oracle ACE Director, specializing in Oracle XML DB, and a member of the OakTable Network. Marco is/was the Oracle Beta Test Lead for the Oracle 11g database releases and is a member of the Oracle's Customer Advisory Board regarding future XML DB functionality.

Lucas Jellema, AMIS Services

Lucas Jellema is CTO at AMIS, an Oracle, Java, and SOA specialist based in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. He works as a consultant, architect, and instructor in diverse areas such as SQL and PL/SQL, Java, Oracle ADF and WebCenter, and SOA Suite. The running theme through most of his activities is the transfer of knowledge and enthusiasm.

Lucas is an author at the AMIS Technology Blog (http://technology.amis.nl/blog), for Oracle Technology Network, and for international magazines. He is a frequent presenter at international conferences, including Devoxx, JavaOne, Oracle Open World, ODTUG, UKOUG, OBUG, Oracle University Celebrity Seminars, and AUSOUG. He was nominated Oracle ACE in 2005 and ACE Director in 2006. In September 2010 his book, the Oracle Press title 'Oracle SOA Suite 11g Handbook' was published.

Before joining AMIS in 2002, Lucas worked for Oracle Consultancy in the Netherlands (from 1994), where he was a member of the Internet Development Center of Excellence—working on classic products such as Oracle Designer and Forms and the productivity boosters Headstart, CDM RuleFrame, Echo, Repository Object Browser, and JHeadstart.

Toon Koppelaars, RuleGen BV

Toon Koppelaars studied computer science at the University of Technology in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. He is a long-time Oracle technology user, having used the Oracle database and tools software since 1987, version 4. During his career he has been involved in both application development (terminal/host in the early days, GUI client/server later on, and J2EE nowadays), as well as database administration. Within the database design area, the formal specification and robust implementation of data integrity rules (also known as business rules) is one of his special interest areas. Toon is also a frequent presenter at Oracle related conferences. He has won both the Editor's Choice Award as well as Best Speaker Award of the ODTUG-Now! conference. Alex Nuijten, AMIS

Alex Nuijten is an Oracle ACE Director and expertise lead (database development) for AMIS Services BV in Nieuwegein, The Netherlands. Besides his consultancy work, he also conducts training classes and authored numerous articles in a Dutch Oracle Magazine. He also does presentations at national and international conferences, and is a frequent contributor at the Oracle Technology Network forum for SQL and PL/SQL. Peter Schmidt, Trivadis

Peter Schmidt is a senior consultant in Oracle application development for Trivadis GmbH in Stuttgart, Germany. He has worked with Oracle databases since 1997, focusing on data modeling, SQL, PL/SQL, and performance tuning. Besides his activities in many customer projects, especially in the automotive industry, he likes to share his knowledge as a course instructor for PL/SQL and Oracle database new features.
